de Gournay
original title, de Gournay’s reproduction from surviving examples shows a traditional Chinese landscape at the turn of the 19th Century and includes images of Early European trading. The accuracy of the detail makes it likely that the mural’s designer had access to the recently published work on China of travelers Thomas Daniell R.A and the architect Thomas Allom.
