COMPANY HISTORY

In the late 1960’s, company founder, Jerry Pair, began representing a handful of decorative fabric and furnishing lines in the South, determined to provide the design community with the finest products available in the industry. After much initial success, the first Jerry Pair showroom opened in 1970 at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center, where it remains a staple today.

Immediately following the success of the Atlanta showroom, Jerry and longtime business partner, Mavis Cahoon, opened a second showroom in Miami’s Design District; later moving to the South Florida Design Park in Hollywood, Florida. In 1990, Mavis’ son, Dan Cahoon, joined the company and now heads Jerry Pair & Associates as CEO and President.

Through the years, Jerry Pair’s refined product offerings expanded as the company became the exclusive U.S. distributor of Jim Thompson fabrics until 2012. Adding to their success, Jerry Pair became the exclusive North American representative for fabrics Dedar in 2002, which now operates independently.

From 2003 through January 2018, the third Jerry Pair showroom was opened in the Design and Decoration building in New York City. Three years later, Jerry Pair Leather, Inc. was founded by Dan Cahoon and is now represented in every major market across the United States.

Each of Jerry Pair’s showrooms has become a staple destination for the discriminating designer. In addition to carrying product of unrivaled beauty, Jerry Pair has been committed to providing its clients with outstanding customer service, extensive outside sales road programs and personalized response to their clients. As from the company’s inception, their mission still endures- providing architects and interior designers with the most exceptional products and service available in the market.
