Details: The graphic, painterly artwork of Otago is inspired by the abstracted image of a ship at sea. Otago was a legendary ship, captained by author and adventurer Joseph Conrad, a prominent figure in Siamese history during the 19th century. Here, the layers of lineation and illustrative brush strokes are each separately screen-printed onto a finely slubbed linen ground. Teflon finishing enhances Otagos performance.
