Description: Loosely based on seventeenth century crewelwork embroidery. Using various ageing processes to the original artwork (including sandpaper!) I have softened the historical context of this design making something entirely new that would sit equally well with a Paisley as it would a geometric. The stubby linen and cotton ground further enhances the original artwork.
