With this collection, Kerr is asking the viewer: how freeing does it feel not to conform with the patterns of our black and white culture?
The artist believes todays culture typically presents us with two options when it comes to decisions that shape us, whether in politics, climate change or lifestyle. As a Christian, Kerr sees this divisive tug of war as an opportunity for Christ to step in and invite us into a third option centered in love. This black and white series is about tearing through" our cultures walls and exposing the light behind its darkness.
