Details: Sortelegium is a Latin word meaning 'enchantment,' and was the name of Tony Duquette's 100 acre ranch in Malibu, California, which was created to resemble a 'cabinet de curiosities' full of Duquette's own works. The figures and fanciful bamboo framework which surrounds them are inspired by many of Duquette's papier mache, coral and objets d'art that were displayed in his residences.
