Details: Tony Duquette was known for using beautiful antique silk damask fabrics throughout his career. In 1951, when creating his unprecedented one-man exhibition at the Louvre Museum's Pavillon de Marsan, he covered the walls with yards and yards of a well-worn, slightly faded and in occasionally shabby red silk damask which he found in the Paris flea market.
