Collection: Zoffany x Michael Smith Indoor Outdoor Fabric, Summer 2026

Details: Our debut Indoor Outdoor Fabrics collection, Zoffany x Michael S. Smith is a new body of technical textiles born from hand-selected archival pieces. Azalea Path is an all-over floral design drawn from a French chintz that entered Zoffany's archives in the early 1900s. Chosen for its distinctive colour technique, the reverse of the original document - made striking by the ink pushed through during block printing - caught Michael's eye and served as the main source of inspiration. To honour and capture this beauty, the back of Azalea Path has been engraved, lending it an authentic, lived-in character that recalls the original printing process and its subtly unbalanced aesthetic. Available in two colourways, including one directly lifted from the archives, the design is printed on a textured outdoor fabric selected for its finish and handle. This indoor/outdoor fabric is digitally printed at Zoffany's historic UK factory onto an outdoor-ready base that's mould resistant, lightfast, and finished with a C0 fluorine-free treatment for stain and water repellency.
